ECP sets Aug 29 deadline for parties' 2024-25 audited accounts

Political parties must file audited statements for FY 2024-25 or face consequences.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued a reminder to all political parties to submit their audited financial statements for the fiscal year 2024-25 by August 29, 2025.

According to the ECP spokesperson, this submission is mandatory under Sections 204 and 210 of the Elections Act, 2017, as well as under the relevant rules of the Election Rules, 2017. The financial statements must be submitted on Form D, fully detailed and certified by a chartered accountant.

The ECP clarified that each political party is required to disclose its income and expenditure, assets and liabilities, and sources of funding. Complete bank statements from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, must also be attached.

Furthermore, all documents must be submitted in person by an authorised party representative at the ECP Secretariat in Islamabad. Submissions via mail, fax, or courier will not be accepted.
