Pakistan, Turkiye resolve to strengthen multifaceted cooperation

Dar and Turkish FM called for urgent need for humanitarian aid and relief for people of Gaza

JEDDAH (Dunya News) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan have expressed their resolve to further strengthening multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.

They held a meeting on the sidelines of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s Council of Foreign Ministers (OIC-CFM) in Jeddah.

Dar expressed his deep appreciation to Türkiye for its leadership role in the capacity of the Chair of the 51st OIC Council of Foreign Ministers.

“We affirmed firm solidarity with Palestine, noting the worsening humanitarian crisis and famine, and the urgent need for humanitarian aid and relief,” read official statement.

Earlier, Dar and Advisor for Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh Touhid Hossain held a meeting where both expressed deep concern over the ongoing genocide, famine, and humanitarian catastrophe and called for ceasefire in Gaza.

They expressed strong solidarity with the just cause of Palestine, underscoring the urgent need for unhindered humanitarian access, a permanent ceasefire, and lasting peace through a two-state solution.

Pakistan and Bangladesh have also agreed to work closely on strengthening bilateral ties and advancing regional cooperation for shared prosperity.

In a message on X following the meeting, Ishaq Dar said they reaffirmed new momentum in Pak-Bangladesh relations and look forward to seeing the fruits of our cooperation across diverse fields.
