Pakistani media has played a responsible and positive role, says military spox

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - A delegation of the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE), led by Kazim Khan, met with Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry.

The delegation paid tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces for their outstanding role during the Marka-e-Haq (Battle of Truth). They stated that the ISPR played a pivotal role throughout all phases of the operation, ensuring timely and credible information to counter the propaganda of the Indian media.

The delegation emphasised that this unprecedented victory was the result of the coordinated strategy between the Pakistani nation, the government, and military institutions.

On this occasion, DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry remarked that the youth are the nation’s asset, and their positive outlook toward the country is a testament to Pakistan’s bright future. He noted that Indian negative thinking and resources are behind all terrorist incidents.

He added that Pakistan’s armed forces, with the support of the public, have the full capability to decisively counter this proxy war.

He further said that malicious attempts to spread despair among the people of Balochistan through negative propaganda will never succeed, as the patriotic and brave people of Balochistan are well aware of the schemes of anti-state elements and their foreign masters.

The military spokeseman stated that the media has always played a responsible and positive role in addressing Pakistan’s issues and challenges, noting that during the Battle of Truth, the Pakistani media not only demonstrated responsible and high journalistic standards but also effectively countered the negative propaganda of the Indian media.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the delegation presented a commemorative shield to the DG ISPR.
