ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A man allegedly shot dead his sister over marriage of choice in Shamus Colony here on Thursday, Dunya News reported.
According to police, the accused identified as Adil Hussain took the life of his sister for ‘honour’. He was livid when he came to know that his sister got married to a man who she liked.
The dead body of the woman was shifted to hospital for medicolegal procedure. Police were collecting forensic evidence and recording statements from the family members and the area people.
Recently, several incidents of killing of women for ‘honour’ were reported across the country. Honour killing cases in Rawalpindi and Balochistan are still haunting people, who say such incidents should be stopped.
