ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that he will soon visit the flood-affected areas.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said, “This is a very difficult phase for the people in flood-affected areas. We stand with our brothers and sisters in this time of hardship. It is our national duty to ease the suffering of the victims. The Pakistan Army and all institutions are working day and night.”
He stated that food supplies are being ensured for the victims, and flood-affected people are being moved to safer locations. “We pay tribute to all relevant departments and individuals involved in the relief efforts,” he added.
The Prime Minister directed that uninterrupted electricity supply be ensured in the affected areas and ordered that the number of trucks carrying relief goods be immediately doubled. He also instructed that all necessary procedures for the distribution of relief funds to the victims be completed promptly.
