CM Maryam to spend busy day in Japanese city of Yokohama

Her engagements will begin with a formal meeting with the Mayor of Yokohama, Dr. Takeharu Yamanaka

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The official engagements of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s visit to Japan will begin today (August 18).

It is worth mentioning that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is on a five-day official visit to Japan at the invitation of the Japanese government.

Today, CM Maryam will spend a busy day in the famous Japanese city of Yokohama. Her engagements will begin with a formal meeting with the Mayor of Yokohama, Dr. Takeharu Yamanaka, who will also host a luncheon in honor of the Chief Minister and her delegation.

She will also visit the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, the state-of-the-art cable car "Yokohama Air Cabin," and the city's water and sewage facility.

The CM will meet with members of the Pakistani community residing in Japan. Later, a dinner will be hosted by overseas Pakistanis in Japan in honor of Maryam Nawaz Sharif and her delegation.

It is important to note that last night, CM Maryam arrived in Japan from Thailand. Upon arrival at Haneda Airport in Tokyo, she received a warm welcome. Senior Japanese government officials and diplomatic representatives welcomed the Chief Minister, while Pakistan’s Ambassador to Japan, Abdul Hameed, greeted the Punjab delegation.

A large number of overseas Pakistanis living in Japan were also present at the airport to welcome the CM.
