Aryan Khan likened to father Shah Rukh in 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood'

Aryan is making his directorial debut and the show will be on Netflix

(Web Desk) - The first glimpse of The Ba***ds of Bollywood has been released, but fans could not help but notice how similar Aryan Khan sounded to his father, Shah Rukh Khan.

Aryan is making his directorial debut and the show will be on Netflix.

It opened with the Mohabbatein theme.

A silhouetted figure stepped into the spotlight, narrating a tragic love story.

The person is revealed to be Aryan. Dressed in black, he immediately drew attention for resembling his father in voice, style, and presence, leaving fans stunned by the similarities.

The teaser set the show’s tone as Aryan described it as a mix of “lots of love” and “a little bit of a roast”.

He closed his pitch with words that echoed Shah Rukh’s signature style: “Picture toh saalon se baki hai, par show ab shuru hoga.”

The line sparked further comparisons with his father’s legendary dialogue delivery.

The Ba***ds of Bollywood features Lakshya and Sahher Bambba.

The show also boasts an ensemble cast including Mona Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, and Gautami Kapoor. The preview of the show will be out on August 20.

Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the project is co-created by Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan, who also share writing credits with Aryan. The release date remains under wraps, though major cameos are rumoured.

Speculation suggests appearances by Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol and other big names.

The show’s official synopsis describes “an ambitious outsider and his friends” navigating Bollywood with self-aware humour, drama and high-stakes thrills.

Despite this, most attention has shifted to Aryan Khan himself.

Fans said his voice, mannerisms, and even his smile appeared like a carbon copy of Shah Rukh’s.

One wrote: “I genuinely thought it was Shah Rukh doing the voiceover. Crazy how their voices are so similar.”

Another said: “His voice is also similar to SRK. I thought SRK was doing the dub for the whole time.”

A third added: “The way he smiled is exactly how Shah Rukh smiles.”
