Pak Army's engineers reopen blocked Shangla Road in KP

Army engineers are deployed with heavy equipment

SHANGLA (Dunya News) - Pakistan Army's Engineer Corps has restored the closed road in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’ Shangla, which was closed due to landsliding.

Army engineers are deployed with heavy equipment in Alpuri. Clearance of Aloch-Chakesar road blocked at several places is also underway.

On the other hand, in Buner, road clearance and recovery operation is underway by the army engineers in Bishnoi, Gokand and Pir Baba.

In collaboration with the local administration, the operations are being monitored from the Relief and Rescue Operations Headquarters in Daggar.

Relief activities will continue till the complete restoration of connectivity and normalcy.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Army, under the special instructions of Field Marshal Asim Munir, is continuing the distribution of rations among flood-affected people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Troops remain actively engaged in rescue and relief operations across flood-hit areas, including Buner, Shangla, and Swat.

Army helicopters have delivered essential supplies to Khawaza Banda, including flour, rice, lentils, milk powder, salt, tea leaves, and cooking oil. The military distributed ration among the flood victims in Mingora.

Military helicopters are also evacuating injured individuals, women, and children from remote regions to safer locations.

Meanwhile, army doctors have set up medical camps in the affected areas, where free medicines are being provided.
