Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia condole Pakistan on flood losses

World leaders express solidarity, offer prayers and support after deadly monsoon floods

MOSCOW (Dunya News) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended heartfelt condolences to Pakistan over the tragic loss of lives in Pakistan’s recent flooding, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In a letter to President Asif Ali Zardari, Putin expressed sorrow over the human loss and wished a speedy recovery to the injured, along with strength for the affected families.

In a similar gesture, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian conveyed his sympathies to the Pakistani Prime Minister and people over the rain- and flood-related casualties. He also offered Iran’s full support for relief and rehabilitation efforts, emphasising readiness to provide humanitarian aid to ease the suffering of flood victims.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement expressing solidarity with Pakistan during this difficult time. The Kingdom extended condolences to the families of the deceased and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.

The recent monsoon-related incidents, including floods and landslides across Pakistan, have resulted in at least 399 deaths and 148 injuries so far.
