Ishaq Dar discusses trade, diplomatic ties with his Azerbaijan counterpart

Telephonic talks highlight cooperation on trade, UN & OIC engagement

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Monday held a telephonic conversation with Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and multilateral diplomacy.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, both leaders exchanged views on ways to strengthen economic collaboration, expressing mutual satisfaction over their coordination on multilateral platforms.

They also agreed to maintain close contact in preparation for upcoming engagements at the United Nations (UN) and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Additionally, the two sides consented to consult further on matters related to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

The exchange reflects Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to deepen strategic partnerships and regional connectivity.
