Four injured as two bogies of Musa Pak Express derail near Raiwind

According to Pakistan Railways sources, the accident occurred when the brakes of the train failed

RAIWIND (Dunya News) – At least four people sustained injuries when two bogies of Musa Pak Express, going to Multan from Lahore, derailed near Raiwind Railway Station on Sunday night, Dunya news reported.

According to Pakistan Railways sources, the accident occurred when the brakes of the train failed, as a result two bogies were derailed, causing injuries to at least four persons.

A heavy contingent of police and rescue teams reached the spot after the accident. Sources said that the injured persons were later shifted to a nearby hospital while an investigation has also been launched.

Earlier in the day, the Jaffar Express has once again come under attack as six carriages of the train derailed after an explosion on the railway track near Mastung.

According to railway officials, the blast occurred near the Spezand Railway Station when the Jaffar Express was en route from Quetta to Peshawar. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

Security forces swiftly cordoned off the area, and an investigation is underway.
