RIYADH (Web Desk) – The 45th King Abdulaziz International Competition for the Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Qur’an will start on Saturday.
The competition is organised and supervised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, and will be held at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
Contestants from 128 countries around the world will participate, the largest number of participating countries since the competition was established more than 45 years ago.
The significant turnout reaffirms the event’s global stature and the Kingdom’s leading role in promoting Quranic values worldwide.
Recognized as one of the most distinguished international Quranic contests, the competition highlights Saudi Arabia’s steadfast commitment to supporting Quranic initiatives, enhancing the global presence of the Holy Quran, and conveying a civilizational message of peace, moderation, and spiritual enlightenment.
