ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Defence Minister Khawaja Asif met with former Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League N President Nawaz Sharif. Following the meeting, Asif shared a photo on social media, stating that they discussed matters of mutual interest along with the overall political situation in the country.
Last week, rumours circulated suggesting that Asif had resigned from his position—but he later strongly denied those claims.

These speculations emerged after Khawaja Asif made controversial remarks accusing parts of the bureaucracy of purchasing property in Portugal. He criticized these bureaucrats as “crocodiles” who siphon billions and live comfortably in retirement, saying even the remaining resources of the politicians are consumed—making the bureaucratic class a stain on Pakistan.
