SHARJAH (Dunya News) – Authorities have decided to implement special security arrangements to curb crowd misbehavior during upcoming Pakistan vs Afghanistan cricket matches in Sharjah.
Organizers will separate fan entries and enclosures for both countries’ supporters, with no cross-entry allowed between stands throughout the tri-nation T20 series.
The Pakistan-Afghanistan matches are scheduled for August 29 and September 2 in Sharjah.
This decision follows previous incidents of unruly behavior, including the 2022 Asia Cup clash, when Afghan fans attacked Pakistani supporters after Naseem Shah’s winning sixes.
Similar fights also broke out during the 2019 World Cup in Leeds, prompting calls for stricter crowd management.
