Governor promises to create South Punjab province

Sardar Saleem Haider said that the people of South Punjab are facing deprivation

BAHAWALPUR (Dunya News) – Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan on Sunday promised and expressed commitment for the establishment of South Punjab province, Dunya News reported.

Addressing a ceremony in Bahawalpur, Sardar Saleem Haider asked the people to give a majority to the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in the next election and if the PPP does not create a separate province, I will leave the party and also quit the politics.

Sardar Saleem Haider further said that the people of South Punjab are facing deprivation, and their grievances cannot be addressed without the creation of a separate province. He said that Punjab resources are being utilized only in Lahore.
