PTI leader was taken into custody while traveling from Samani to Bhimber in Azad Kashmir

BHIMBER (Dunya News) - Former AJK prime minister and PTI leader Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi on Sunday was arrested ahead of party’s Aug 5 protest.

According to police sources, the PTI leader was taken into custody while traveling from Samani to Bhimber in Azad Kashmir. Arrest warrants had been issued against him in connection with the May 9 cases.

It merits mention here that PTI Azad Kashmir has completed preparations after Imran Khan’s call for protest on August 5.

PTI Azad Kashmir President Abdul Qayyum Niazi has earlier instructed party workers to stage a strong protest on Aug 5.

PTI is all set to launch countrywide movement for constitutional and democratic rights from tomorrow.

It was stated by senior PTI leader and former National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser in a statement issued from Swabi on Sunday.

The PTI leader emphasised that the movement will remain within the boundaries of the law and the constitution.

He added that PTI founder was arrested on August 5 two years ago and the day would be marked as ‘Black Day’.

Asad Qaiser demanded the release of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi on bail, calling it their constitutional and legal right.
