India Champions refuse to play WCL 2025 semi-final against Pakistan

Green Shirts reach World Championship of Legends final by walkover

(Web Desk) – Indian squad has once again refused to play against Pakistan in the ongoing World Championship of Legends, resulting in Pakistan automatically qualifying for the final.

According to Cricinfo, the highly anticipated semi-final between Pakistan Champions and India Champions was scheduled for Thursday in Birmingham.

However, due to India’s refusal to take the field, Pakistan was handed a walkover and a direct ticket to the final.

Pakistan will now face either the Australia Champions or the South Africa Champions in the tournament’s final match.

Earlier in the Group Stage, India had also declined to play against Pakistan due to ongoing political tensions between the two nations. In that case, both teams were awarded one point each.
