LAHORE (Dunya News) - Incarcerated PTI Senator Ijaz Chaudhry has been shifted to hospital after his condition deteriorated in jail on Saturday.
According to the senator's spokesman, Kot Lakhpat Jail administration shifted Ijaz to hospital amid tight security after he developed health issues.
Later, the spokesman confirmed that Senator Ijaz was examined by doctors and "his condition was stable."
The PTI leader is facing jail for his alleged involvement in May 9 violence, following the arrest of PTI founder Imran Khan.
Dozens of PTI workers and leaders were detained for their alleged role in creating law and order in the country, and setting national monuments on fire to record their protest against the arrest of the party founder.
