(Web Desk) - Famous Pakistani singer Atif Aslam has dismissed the rumours circulating online which referred that he is opposed to singing in Saudi Arabia due to proximity to religious sites.
In a statement given recently, the musician cleared the air and said he had performed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia's capital, in the past which he mentioned, "the best way of proving our opinion on the topic”.
Earlier, several local media outlets reported that Aslam was against singing in Saudi Arabia because his conscience could not accept performing near to the sacred places.
dismissing those rumours he said, “It is funny and strange that statements that I have never made get connected with me.”
He also called upon the media to first confirm a statement before referring it to anyone.
