MELBOURNE (Web Desk) - Cricket Australia's CEO, Nick Hockley, expressed disappointment following the team's loss to Pakistan in the ODI series.
He stated that the result of the series was very disappointing. He stated that it was a great opportunity to give international cricket experience to talented players.
Hockley added that in the past, Cricket Australia had faced criticism for not giving new players enough chances, and the plan was to ensure that players competing in all formats would be in good form for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
It is noteworthy that several former Australian cricketers, including former captain Michael Clarke, had criticised Cricket Australia after the loss to Pakistan.
They particularly condemned the decision to rest five senior players for the decisive match against Pakistan.
Pakistan won the three-match ODI series 2-1 against Australia.
