Humanoid robot with water-powered muscles comes to life

The robot moves similar to how a person would

(Web Desk) - Ghost-white humanoid robot with water-powered muscles flails its arms and turns its faceless head around almost like a person in a scary glimpse of the future.

The robot was made by Polish company Clone Robotics which is building the android to mimic the movements and strength of a human.

Clone Robotics has looked to mirror the structure of the human body and developed artificial bones and muscles.

The droid has its own thumbs that can rotate and joints resembling a human's through the arms and shoulders.

That copy leaves the robot looking remotely human, with it all covered by a white skin to protect it.

Movement of the joints and muscles is done through a battery-operated system of pumps and valves moving water around the body.

The water is stored in a container in the torso, which has human-like ribs and a spine.

The robot looks somewhat similar to those created in the hit HBO TV show Westworld.

Clone Robotics wants their machines to eventually replace people on the assembly line in factories.

By designing robots that move like a human they will be able to slot straight into roles and take the job without having to rebuild the assembly line to fit the robot.

A number of human-like robots are already taking human jobs.

Chinese motors giant BYD Auto have already implemented a creepy 500-strong robot workforce in one of its plants.

The army of bots can be seen inspecting BYD cars as they are being built and carrying heavy boxes around the giant warehouses - with no humans in sight.

Chinese industrial giant UBTech has designed the robots to specialise in manual labour so they can be used in the workplace.
