IMF mission arrives in Islamabad to review progress on Extended Fund Facility

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission arrived here in Islamabad on Monday for holding negotiations with the federal government over various aspects of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) worth $7 billion.

According to sources, the government team submitted its report of economic targets to the IMF mission while also briefing the global lender on overall economic situation.

Sources said that Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and authorities from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) attended the meeting.

The IMF board will hold negotiations with relevant departments after reviewing the report submitted by the government.
