Judicial Commission's first meeting post-26th constitutional amendment to be held today

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 2pm

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The first important meeting of the Judicial Commission, chaired by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi, will be held today (Tuesday). This meeting comes after the 26th constitutional amendment and the restructuring of the Judicial Commission. 

The session will be attended by Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Munib Akhtar, and Justice Aminuddin. 

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 2pm. 

Key items on the agenda include the establishment of the Commission Secretariat and the nomination of judges for the constitutional benches of the Supreme Court. 

Attorney General for Pakistan Mansoor Usman Awan, Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, and Pakistan Bar Council representative Akhtar Hussain will also participate in the meeting. 

Senator Farooq H. Naik from the PPP, Sheikh Aftab Ahmad from PML-N, PTI’s Omar Ayub, and Shibli Faraz, along with Roshan Khurshid Bharucha, will also attend the session.
