Each side has support from business tycoons and celebrities

WASHINGTON (Dunya News) – As the US elections are fast approaching, various business tycoons and showbiz personalities have shown their support for their respective preferences - Republican’s Donald Trump or Democrat’s Kamala Harris.

Billionaires supporting Donald Trump

Elon Musk, the world’s richest person and a financial powerhouse for Trump campaign, has been vocal in his support for Donal Trump. Not only is his support limited to statements endorsing Trump, but he is spending millions of dollars in this regard.

For instance, he has offered to give one million dollar to one lucky person signing his online petition. The petition is supportive of the first and second amendment in the US constitution.

The US justice department has also cautioned Musk that his this bid could land him in trouble as he is openly giving money to people for supporting his views.

In the same vein, Lary Elsen – the second richest person in US – is also supporting the Republican pick for the race. He has given 20 million dollars for Donald Trump campaign. Google Co-Founder support for Democrat

Larry Page and Sergey Brin are supporting the Democrat candidate. They have given 2.4 million dollars for the Harris’ campaign.

Microsoft former CEO Steve Balmer

He has been over the years supportive of Democrat candidates. This time, however, he has not signaled an open support for Harris.

Jeff Bezoz, the third richest person in US and founder of Amazon, has not clearly picked a side in this election. The same is the case with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, famous investor Warren Buffet, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang.

Though not vocal in his support for Harris, but the once richest person has contributed 50 million dollars for the Democrat campaign.

Wrestlers support for Trump

WWE icons Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker have also shown support for Trump, bringing their long-standing wrestling personas into the political realm.

In a recent viral TikTok video, Trump joined The Undertaker (Mark Calaway) and Kane (Glenn Jacobs) in a humorous endorsement where they rallied viewers to “choose Trump, Kane, and The Undertaker over Harris, Bautista, and Walz.”

The video played on Trump’s longstanding ties to WWE and his friendship with co-founder Vince McMahon, who has supported Trump at multiple campaign events.

Hogan, appearing at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally, doubled down on his support, citing Trump’s strength and leadership. Known for his larger-than-life personality, Hogan called Trump the “only man who can fix the country,” while The Undertaker highlighted the importance of standing with Trump against Harris.

In contrast to his WWE counterparts, wrestling legend Mick Foley endorsed Harris, calling Trump a “dangerous conman” in a recent CNN interview.

Known as Mankind, Cactus Jack, and Dude Love, Foley spoke about his disillusionment with Trump, whom he once viewed as a “harmless conman.”

Foley expressed admiration for Harris’s values, describing her as “positive” and “competent,” and endorsed her for what he sees as a hopeful future.

Musicians supporting Harris to win White House Race

Taylor Swift – getting swift response for Harris Music superstar Taylor Swift has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, bringing her immense social media following into the political fold.

After publicly supporting Harris, Swift sparked the formation of “Swifties for Kamala,” a grassroots campaign mobilising young voters in swing states.

Swift’s influence is evident, with an estimated 340,000 fans visiting a voter registration site through her Instagram endorsement link within 24 hours.

Beyonce - ‘beyond political thing’ to support Harris

Beyonce, famous musician, shared her personal motivations for supporting Harris.

“I'm not here as a celebrity. I'm not here as a politician. I’m here as a mother,” she said, emphasising that “freedom is your God-given right, your human right.” Following her remarks, she introduced Harris, who walked onstage to Beyoncé’s 2016 song “Freedom.”

Her support has added momentum, with her song ‘Freedom’ often playing at Harris’s rallies.

Hollywood stars such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Whoopi Goldberg, as well as directors like Spike Lee and Aaron Sorkin, have publicly supported her campaign. Jennifer Lawrence has also expressed her support for Kamala Harris.

Singers rooting for Donald Trump

Kanye West – of course, it is Trump all day. He said in response to a question about his support for the US election.

Lil Pump – he called Donald Trump the greatest president of all time and said he would back him to take the charge of the world's most powerful country again.
