PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur openly denounced the state’s approach towards Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers, asserting that the government's tactics are aimed at planting fear but have instead highlighted the flaws in the country's system.
Addressing the media in Peshawar while welcoming the government employees released from jail, Gandapur described the arrests of numerous PTI workers, highlighting that their protests remained peaceful and were within their constitutional rights.
"Despite our peaceful stance, we faced fascist actions, including tear gas shelling, rubber bullets, and other aggressive measures," he stated.

Gandapur lauded the resilience of PTI supporters, noting that the majority of detained workers were eventually released. "Our workers stood firm, and even many within the government showed solidarity with us. Ninety-nine percent of those arrested have been set free," he remarked.
The CM assured that the remaining detained individuals would gain release. He also condemned the alleged harassment faced by PTI members, underscoring what he described as a continuous campaign against the party since May 9.
Gandapur highlighted that while PTI’s founder remains incarcerated, his wife, Bushra Bibi, has been released, illustrating the state’s contradictory approach.
