PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Adviser Barrister Saif on Wednesday lambasted Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leadership for raising objections to former first lady Bushra Bibi’s stay in Peshawar, where the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was in power.
Responding to Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Asif’s statement of an alleged deal between the PTI and establishment after Bushra Bibi’s departure to Peshawar soon after being released from jail, Saif said Peshawar was located in Pakistan not in London, adding that she won’t run like former premier Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, who he said, fled to London whenever the duo got in trouble.
“Those who strike a deal flee to London. Bushra Bibi is a Pakistani citizen and she hasn’t moved abroad. She bravely faced nine-month imprisonment. She can stay in Peshawar for as much time as possible,” he reiterated.
Moreover, he criticised Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz for unleashing despicable treatment on women workers, claiming that Punjab CM would have to be held accountable for whatever she was doing in Punjab.
