Court summons Parvez Elahi in money laundering case

Non-bailable arrest warrant issued for Zaigham Abbas, co-accused

LAHORE (Dunya News) – A special court has summoned former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi in a money laundering case on next date of hearing.

The money laundering case involves former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi.

Judge Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh ordered Elahi to appear on the next hearing on Nov 5. The case also implicates his son, former federal minister Moonis Elahi, and other associates.

The court already issued a red notice to Interpol for the arrest of Moonis Elahi, currently abroad, with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) confirming the notice is under Interpol's review.

Additionally, a non-bailable arrest warrant has been issued for Zaigham Abbas, a co-accused.

The FIA requested an extension on the asset seizure period for nine defendants, including Moonis Elahi.
