Speaker of Russian Assembly to address Senate today

The Senate will meet at 4pm for which the secretariat has issued a five-point agenda

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Senate and National Assembly sessions have been called on Monday. Speaker of the Russian Federation Council, Valentina Matviyenko, will address the upper house of the parliament.

The Senate will meet at 4 pm for which the secretariat has issued a five-point agenda.

"The special session of the Senate will begin with the national anthems of Pakistan and Russian Federation. The Chairman Senate, Yousaf Raza Gilani, will deliver the introductory address."

NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

The session of the lower house of parliament will begin at 5 pm. A six-point agenda has been issued by assembly secretariat.

A question answer session and the call attention notice on the benevolent fund for the education of the children of federal government employees would be part of the agenda.

Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar would present a "motion of gratitude" to thank President Asif Ali Zardari for addressing the joint session of the two houses. 

45th PGA annual forum, 13th CAP-ICC

Meanwhile, a two-day 45th Annual Forum of Parliamentarians for Global Action and 13th Consultative Assembly of Parliamentarians on International Criminal Court will begin in Islamabad on Monday. 

The event, hosted by National Assembly of Pakistan, will bring together parliamentarians from around the world for open dialogue. 

The sessions will focus on advancing domestic and international criminal justice, promoting rule of law and upholding human rights. 

Current President of Forum, Syed Naveed Qamar, will lead the gathering.
