Supreme Court issues cause list for upcoming week

The eight permanent benches of top court would start hearing cases next week

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Supreme Court has released a cause list for the judicial week for the next week.

In total, the top court would hear 968 cases from October 28 to November 1.

The eight permanent benches of the top court would hear the cases from the next week.

The first bench would be comprised Justice Yahya Afridi and Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan. In this bench, 140 cases are set to be heard.

The second bench would be consisted of Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Athar Minallah and it would also hear 140 cases.

Meanwhile the third bench, which would consist of Justice Aminuddin Khan and Justice Irfan Saadat Khan, would hear 140 cases.

The fourth bench – consist of Justice Musarrat Hilali and Justice Shehzad Ahmed Khan presided over by Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail – would hear 58 cases the upcoming week.

Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi would make the fifth bench. It would hear 140 cases.

Meanwhile, the sixth bench would be consisted of Justice Ayesha Malik and Justice Aqeel Abbasi and it would hear 140 cases.

The seventh bench would comprise Justice Naeem Afghan and Justice Shahid Waheed and it would also hear 140 cases.

The eighth bench would hear 70 cases and comprised of Justice Sardar Tariq Masood and Justice Mazhar Alam Mian.

It merits mention that almost 57,000 cases are pending before the Supreme Court.
