LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at his residence in Model Town, Lahore.
According to sources, the two leaders discussed the national political landscape following the 26th amendment, which Bilawal praised as a historic step. The 27th amendment was also discussed.
Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider and former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf accompanied the PPP chairman, while National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, and PM’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah were also present.
"The credit for the 26th amendment goes to our allies. We have served the public before and will continue to do so," stated the PM, also highlighting recent positive economic developments as signs of national progress.
The two political stalwarts held consultations on removing ‘shortcomings’ in the 26th Constitutional Amendment Bill and presenting the 27th Constitutional Amendment.
Bilawal Bhutto expressed his commitment to standing with the government in support of Parliament and democracy.
