Punjab Assembly passes resolution commending 26th amendment

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Punjab Assembly has passed a resolution commending the 26th constitutional amendment, while the opposition members have staged a walkout.

The session, chaired by Speaker Malik Ahmad Khan, commenced after a delay of 2 hour and 47 minutes.

Provincial Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Mujtaba Shuja-ur Rehman presented the resolution commending Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto for their role in the amendment’s passage.

The resolution praised the political leadership for their achievement. Opposition members protested the passage and exited the assembly in opposition to the governmnet’s action.
