LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz has launched ‘Dhee Rani’ programme to arrange the wedding ceremonies of underprivileged couples and ease their burden.
The applications under this project can be submitted through the online portal cmp.punjab.gov.pk and helpline 1312.
On the direction of the Punjab CM, a helpline number had been made to answer any queries.
Teams would visit the homes of aspirants to verify the eligibility to ensure transparency and fairness in the programme.
The new couple will be given Rs100,000 through ATM cards and essential furniture, crockery and clothes.
The government will also arrange meals in the wedding ceremony of the couples.
AMENDMENT WOULD ENSURE TIMELY JUSTICE The Punjab CM hailed the 26th amendment to the constitution and congratulated the nation saying it would ensure timely justice.
She emphasised that the amendment was inevitable for supremacy of law and it had restored parliament’s constitutional powers and sanctity.
Maryam Nawaz insisted that positive reforms would be made in the judicial system and the judiciary would be more independent and strengthened.
She also hailed an article on the eradication of interest in Pakistan.
