LAHORE (Dunya News) - There are considerations to appoint wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan as the captain for the upcoming white-ball series against Australia.
The national team announcement for the series is expected next week, with the potential return of fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain to the final squad.
Hasnain, who last played an ODI in 2023, has showcased impressive performances in the Champions Cup and President's Cup.
The series, scheduled from November 4 to 18, 2024, will feature three ODIs and three T20 matches.
Sources indicated that Rizwan was being considered to lead the Pakistani team against the world champions, Australia, with the final decision to be made in consultation with the chairman and selectors.
Additionally, all-rounder Aamer Jamal and young wicketkeeper-batter Haseebullah are also on the selection committee's radar for possible inclusion in the squad.
