KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan is all set to witness the third supermoon of the current year today (Thursday).

According to astronomers, the moon appears large in size and more bright when the distance between the moon and earth gets reduced.

The next supermoon will be lighting up the skies on Nov 15.
While sailing in its orbit when the moon comes closest to earth, i.e. 226,000 kilometres, it shines 14pc more brightly and appears 7pc bigger. This is when it is called a supermoon.
