KARACHI (Dunya News) – Awam Pakistan Party Chairman Shahid Khaqan Abbasi stated that independent power producers (IPPs) did not ruin the economy; rather, the economy has ruined the IPPs.
Speaking at an event in Karachi, the former PM criticised the government for failing to honour its commitments. He pointed out that while the government claims to have saved Rs411 billion, it now has to pay Rs4,000 billion in return.
He stressed the importance of understanding how the global economy works and called for practical solutions to address the current challenges.
