Heads of delegations attending SCO summit announced

Pakistan will host the 23rd Meeting of the Council of Heads of State (CHS) of SCO member states.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has released the names of the heads of delegations from countries participating in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting.

Pakistan will host the 23rd Meeting of the Council of Heads of State (CHS) of SCO member states on October 15 and 16, chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Jinnah Convention Center.

According to the ministry, Chinese Premier Li Qiang will lead the Chinese delegation.

Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar will head the Indian delegation.

Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Reza Arif will lead the Iranian delegation.

Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko will head his country's delegation.

Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and Kyrgyzstan's Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov will lead their respective delegations.

Tajikistan's Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda and Uzbekistan's Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov will also be among those visiting Pakistan.

Additionally, SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming, Executive Committee Director Ruslan Mirzayev, and Turkmenistan's Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Rashid Meredov will be attending.

The Chairman of the SCO Business Council, Aatif Ikram Shaikh, and the Chairman of the SCO Interbank Union Council, Marat Yelibayev, will also participate.
