LAHORE (Dunya News) - Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi briefed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the security arrangements for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit, Dunya News reported on Sunday.
The meeting which was held at PM residence at the Model Town, Lahore, Mohsin Naqvi apprised PM Shehbaz about the plan to provide special security to foreign dignitaries attending the upcoming SCO Summit in Islamabad.
Shahbaz Sharif gave important instructions to Mohsin Naqvi regarding the security during the SCO Summit. Interior Minister also apprised Prime Minister regarding PTM Jirga held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The two-day SCO Summit will begin on October 15 in the federal capital. According to the foreign office spokesperson, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would preside over the SCO Conference.
The prime ministers of China, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan would represent their country. Also, Iran’s Vice President and India’s foreign minister would take part in the SCO Conference.
