Selection committee considers resting Babar Azam for second Test

An emergency meeting of PCB, chaired by Mohsin Naqvi, will take place today.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - There are proposals to rest out-of-form Babar Azam and other senior players for the second Test against England.

Sources indicated that an emergency meeting of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), chaired by Mohsin Naqvi, will take place today.

Members of the selection committee will participate to discuss the squad for the upcoming match.

According to board sources, the selection committee is considering resting some senior players, including star batsman Babar Azam, who has been struggling for form.

Additionally, the selection committee members have consulted with head coach Jason Gillespie and captain Shan Masood in Multan.

The meeting will also address the name of the national team's white-ball captain.
