ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has decided to close its office in Islamabad for three days from October 14 to 16 due to upcoming meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).
The management of the national carrier has issued a circular in this regard. It however stated that PIA employees working at Islamabad airport will continue their duties as per their schedule.
Islamabad is set to host the meeting of the SCO Heads of Governments on October 15 and 16 with delegations from member countries participating in it.
Pakistan currently holds the rotating Chairmanship of the SCO Council of Heads of Government, which is SCO's second-highest decision-making forum.
