LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PB) has reconstituted the men’s national selection committee following the crushing defeat in first Test against England.
The board has added Aleem Dar, Aqib Javed, Azhar Ali and data analyst Hassan Cheema to the committee as voting members.
The new members have joined Asad Shafiq, the captain and the coach, who are already members of the seven-member panel. All the seven members of the committee have a vote on selection of players.
The committee also included four non-voting members – Assistant Coah Azhar Mahmood, Advisor to PCB chairman Bilal Afzal, Director high performance Nadeem Khan and Director international cricket Usman Wahla.
The development comes days after Mohammad Yousuf resigned from the selection committee.
Earlier in the day, England defeated Pakistan by an innings and 47 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match Test series here at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
