PML-N leader denies allegations of harassing parliamentarians for constitutional amendment

PTI claims its MNAs being harassed and abducted for rejecting support in constitutional amendment

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - PTI leader Sheikh Waqas Akram claimed that the government was in-short of the required number of votes for a constitutional amendment.

Talking at the Dunya News program, ‘Dunya Meher Bokhari kay sath’, he alleged that PTI MNAs were being harassed and abducted from their homes to vote for constitutional amendment.

The PTI leader debunked government claims of having support of parliamentarians for constitutional amendment.

He highlighted that they have complete support of their MNAs and they hid their seven MNAs that the government needed to meet the demand of the required number of votes.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman assured PTI of supporting them against the constitutional amendment and wouldn’t be manipulated, the PTI leader revealed.

Sheikh Waqas said that KP CM Ali Amin revealed his whereabouts after being asked about the disappearance of KP CM in the D-Chowk, Islamabad protest. PML-N leader Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha denied allegations of PTI Sheikh Waqas, saying, no one was being harassed for proposed constitutional amendment.

PTI must raise its concerns in the National Assembly, if it had reservations on amendment in constitution, he mentioned.

Ranjha stressed that legislation was the due right of Parliament and no one would be compelled to vote on constitutional amendment.

The PML-N leader highlighted that the PTI wasn’t ready for dialogue, otherwise a constitutional amendment was passed and the political situation would be different.

The floor crossing always happened in the National Assembly, he asserted.

Gandapur shouldn’t make statements on firing bullets, he criticised the fiery speech of KP CM.

Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha berated PTI founder Imran Khan, saying whole Pakistan was paying the price of Imran Khan’s non-serious attitude.
