LAHORE (Dunya News) - A five-year-old girl abducted for ransom has been recovered, with the arrest of a suspected kidnapper in Green Town, Dunya News reported here on Sunday.
The girl was kidnapped from Hakim Town of Green Town area on Monday. Her kidnappers had demanded Rs500,000 ransom from her parents.
The kidnappers phoned her parents, who contacted police and gave them the mobile number of the kidnappers.
Police with the help of the number traced the kidnappers and arrested one of them.
Investigators have claimed that a woman was also in the abduction, adding law enforcers are trying to reach out to the fleeing outlaws with the help of the arrested suspect.
THREE ROBBERS ARRESTED IN KARACHI
In Karachi, three robbers were arrested in a raid carried out on secret information. They were tracked down from Shah Latif Town.
They were identified as Abid Ali, Amjad Ali and Saleem Khan. They were complicit in dozens of case of robbery and other heinous crimes.
Three stolen bikes, two pistols and bullets were seized from their possession. They admitted to committing crimes on National Highway, Super Highway and other areas of the city. Further investigation was underway.
