Pakistan is united against Israeli oppression on Palestinians

Pakistan organises APC for solidarity with Palestinians

LAHORE/ ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz silence of global community on the plight of innocent and oppressed Palestinian was alarming.

Sharing her message on Palestine Solidarity Day, Palestine’s issue wasn’t only confined to Palestinians but a global issue.

Palestinians have been struggling for their basic rights, freedom and their own land, Maryam Nawaz asserted.

Pakistan’s firm stance on the Palestinians’ rights would stay intact and PML-N always raised its voice against Israel’s tyranny and oppression and protection of Palestinians’ rights in every forum, Punjab CM stressed.

She hailed the PM Shehbaz Sharif’s resolve for Palestine and Kashmir issues and highlighted that Pakistani government and Pakistanis stand behind Palestinians.

Maryam Nawaz insisted that global peace was unachievable until a fair resolution of the Palestine issue as per the desires of people of Palestine. Punjab CM urged international and human organisations to come forward and ensure the protection of rights of Palestinians and help them.

Senator Sherry Rehman stated that the whole of Pakistan would raise a voice against barbarism of Israel on Palestinians today.

Israeli oppression against Palestinians had claimed the lives of 42,000 Palestinians including 16,000 children and injuring hundreds of thousands, she said.

Rehman asserted Israel had not only waged war on Palestine, in fact the whole Middle East including Lebanon, Yemen, Iran and Syria.

Israel was a threat to peace and stability in the Middle East and world, the PPP leader added.

Israel had wreaked havoc on the infrastructure, residential building, economy and agriculture of Palestine, and displaced millions, she highlighted.

An All Parties Conference (APC) will be held here at 3 pm today (Monday) to express solidarity with Palestinians and take a unified stance on issue.

The APC, to be held at the Aiwan-i-Sadr, will be jointly hosted by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
