MELBOURNE (Web Desk) - Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has praised Pakistan's world-class players, expressing excitement for the challenges ahead in the upcoming series.
Speaking to the media during Australia’s Summer Cricket Festival in Melbourne, Maxwell noted that the unpredictability of the Pakistan cricket team makes them a tough opponent.
He reflected on past encounters, stating that Pakistan has often posed a significant challenge and could be extremely dangerous at different times.
Maxwell emphasised the need to keep an eye on Babar Azam, labeling him a superstar player, and also referred to Shaheen Afridi as a magical fast bowler with the new ball.
He added, “Pakistan has world-class players, and we are looking forward to the challenge in the upcoming series. We are preparing for the series, and to maintain our edge, we need to perform at our best. We are not taking this series lightly.”
It is noteworthy that Pakistan is set to tour Australia next month for a white-ball series, which will include three ODIs and three T20 matches.
