LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan entertainment industry talented actor and model Azekah Daniel has said despite the tall claims of equality, the working women in the country still face harassment at their workplaces.
She made this remark while participating in Dunya News’ flagship program ‘Mazaq Raat’ during which she talked in great detail about her personal as professional life.
She said the incidents of harassments against women has not reduced despite many movements to empower the female members of society.
“The harassers at the workplaces should understand that women who leave their houses to work outside are not keen to find partners for themselves,” she said.
During the show, she revealed that she had worked as an air hostess before joining the showbiz world. During that time, some people had given their business cards to her. She had to endure it all despite feeling anger over those incidents.
These kind of things also happen now and are nothing but clearly episodes of harassment,” the actor said.
She said she had left her previous job in 2010 and started modelling. She also told his fans that they would soon see him in a unique role.
