LAHORE (Dunya News) - A case has been filed against Imran Khan, PTI leaders, and around 200 party workers in connection with protests in Lahore.
The case, registered at the Islam Pura police station, included serious charges such as rebellion against the state, terrorism, and attempted murder.
Among those named in the case are PTI founder Imran Khan, Hammad Azhar, Salman Akram Raja, Ghulam Mohiuddin, MPA Shahbaz, Musarrat Jamshed Cheema, Sheikh Imtiaz, Ali Imtiaz, Shabbir Gujjar, and other leaders.
The complaint alleged that Imran Khan incited these leaders to encourage violence against the state from within jail.
The leaders allegedly raised anti-state slogans with their supporters, and injured Constable Bilal in the process.
The FIR also stated that 16 agitated workers were apprehended at the scene, and further legal actions were ongoing against them.
Additionally, cases have been registered against PTI workers for violating Section 144 during protests in various parts of the city. Cases were filed at the Milt Park and Hanjarwal police stations for defying this order.
In Hanjarwal, a case was filed under ASI Aqeel's complaint, leading to the arrest of five workers for attempting to protest.
Meanwhile, in Milt Park, a case was registered under Sub-Inspector Hafiz Imran’s complaint against ten workers for the same violation.
