ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that law enforcement agencies in Islamabad performed their duties vigilantly, and those involved in clashes with security forces would be dealt with Iron hands.
Talking to media along with IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar and IG Islamabad Ali Nasir Rizvi at D-Chowk, he said the government would take action against these miscreants without any discrimination.
“As many as 564 individuals, including 120 Afghan nationals and 11 officials from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police were arrested from the protest staged by the PTI,” said Mohsin Naqvi.
He added that the police officials were used in the protest for the very first time in Pakistan.

IG Punjab said that the police and other law enforcement agencies succeeded in controlling the law and order situation, as no untoward incident took place.
Meanwhile, six serving personnel of the KP police, dressed in plain clothes were arrested from D-Chowk.
According to sources, these individuals were reportedly involved in attacks against law enforcement agencies.
The arrested officers were armed with tear gas, slingshots, and stones, actively participating in assaults against law enforcement personnel.
Additionally, five more serving officers from KP Police, including two from the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and three from the regular police, were apprehended by law enforcement agencies while attempting to escape in police vehicles near Attock.
