Naqvi visits D-Chowk to review security situation

Mohsin Naqvi said that anyone who takes the law into own hands will be dealt with legally.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the D-Chowk area of Islamabad on late Friday night to review the security situation in the wake of PTI’s protest call, Dunya News reported.

Pakistan Army personnel also accompanied the Interior Minister during the visit. During his visit, Mohsin Naqvi expressed his admiration for policemen and army personnel for their dedication and passion and commended their courage.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi said that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference will also be held in Islamabad. “Keeping in view the current scenario, no one would be allowed to hold the demonstration,” he added.

Mohsin Naqvi said that the government will go to every extent to stop protesters. No one would be allowed to hold a protest while foreign guests are in Islamabad. He said that anyone who takes the law into own hands will be dealt with legally.
