Registration for 'Honhar Scholarship' programme in Punjab kicks off

Students can finance their higher education

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The registration for ‘Honhar Scholarship’ programme has begun across the province on the direction of Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz.

Under this programme, 30,000 students will be awarded scholarships annually across 68 disciplines to meet the demand of the international job market.

Students from 50 public sector universities, 16 medical colleges and 131 graduate colleges will be awarded this scholarship.

Students of 7 top private universities including LUMS, NUST, FAST and GIKI will also receive this scholarship.

A total of 130 billion rupees in scholarships will be provided over the next eight years through the ‘Honhar Scholarship’ programme.

This program will benefit 120,000 students during the next four years to finance their education in universities. This scholarship program would ensure access to quality education for deserving and bright students.

Students could fulfill their dreams of higher education without worry of finances under this scholarship programme.

Punjab CM stressed on provision of higher education and good economic opportunities to youth.
