Mohsin Naqvi orders acceleration of stadium upgradation project

He highlighted that cricket fans would have an enhanced viewing experience.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, has directed to expedite work on the stadiums upgradation project.

During a meeting chaired by Naqvi, preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy tournament, the ongoing Champions Cup in Faisalabad, and the stadiums upgrade project were reviewed.

Naqvi emphasised the need to form necessary committees for the Champions Trophy, instructing that responsibilities be assigned to each committee and work commence promptly.

He noted that major teams from around the world would be participating in the tournament, and arrangements must be of the highest standard.

Additionally, the PCB Chairman urged for increased pace on the stadium upgradation project, stating that all efforts should be made to complete the work within the designated timeframe.

He highlighted that post-upgradation, cricket fans would have an enhanced viewing experience, making the matches more enjoyable.

He also commended the enthusiasm of Faisalabad's residents for the Champions Cup matches and mentioned that the feasibility of hosting PSL matches in Faisalabad will be assessed.
